Gender and Marital Status:

– Applications are open to male candidates only.

– Unmarried fresh candidates are preferred; however, married serving personnel of the Armed Forces, aged over 20 years, can also apply.

Nationality:

– Applications are welcomed from Pakistani citizens holding domicile in any province of Pakistan, including Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

– Candidates with dual nationality must relinquish nationalities of other countries upon final selection.

Physical Standards:

  1. Minimum Height: All applicants must meet the minimum height requirement of 5 Feet – 4 Inches (162.5 cm).
  2. Visual Standards: Distance vision with glasses should be 6/9, 6/12, and near vision should be J2, J7, or N8, N12, with or without glasses.
  3. Weight: Compliant with Body Mass Index standards.

PMA Selection Procedure:

– In the selection procedure, each candidate is required to participate in the initial Written/Intelligence Tests
– Test format: MCQs.

Intelligence Test
– Verbal Intelligence Test (85-100 Questions).
– Non-Verbal Intelligence Test (85-100 Questions).

Academic Test (50 Questions)

– Candidates who qualify in the Written/Intelligence Tests will proceed to undergo Physical and Medical assessments, along with an interview at the Army Selection and Recruitment Centers (AS&RCs).

– The Physical Test involves the successful completion of the following tasks:

  • Running: Covering a distance of 6 kilometers within 8 minutes.
  • Push Ups: Achieving 15 repetitions in 2 minutes.
  • Sit Ups: Completing 20 repetitions in 2 minutes.
  • Chin Ups: Accomplishing 3 repetitions in 2 minutes.
  • Ditch Crossing: Crossing a ditch measuring 7′.4″ x 7′.4″ and 4′ deep.

Candidates who successfully pass the Physical Test will proceed to the interview stage at AS&RC, and from there, only shortlisted candidates will proceed to the ISSB test after the interview.
